Role summary

The position requires a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related fields, with a minimum of 9 years of programming experience (C, C++, C#, Python, Java, or Ada) and 6 years in Agile teams using tools like Jira. Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure), containerization (Kubernetes), and automation platforms (GitLab, Terraform) is essential. U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance are mandatory.

About The Role

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background with extensive experience in software development and DevSecOps practices. A bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related fields is required, along with a minimum of 9 years of professional experience in programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Python, Java, or Ada. Candidates must have at least 6 years of experience working within Agile teams utilizing tools like Jira, and a solid understanding of cloud services, containerization, and automation platforms such as AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, GitLab, and Terraform. U.S. Citizenship is mandatory, and the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance post-start is essential. Preferred qualifications include experience in defense or avionics industries, knowledge of networking principles, and familiarity with safety-critical software standards.
Responsibilities
The role involves working collaboratively across teams to address complex engineering problems, developing and maintaining robust code, and integrating software components into fully operational systems. You will engage with internal and external stakeholders to identify and remove technical barriers, ensuring efficient development cycles. Documenting technical roadmaps, plans, and requirements is vital to align project objectives and milestones.
