Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of an HR Specialist include:
- Assisting with all human resource support matters, including personnel records management, data entry, and retrieval.
- Overseeing strength management and distribution actions to ensure optimal staffing levels across units.
- Maintaining the readiness, health, and welfare of all Soldiers by coordinating support services and benefits.
- Providing postal and personnel accountability support, ensuring accurate record-keeping and reporting.
- Maintaining emergency notification data to ensure timely communication during crises or emergencies.
- Processing recommendations for awards, evaluations, and other personnel actions.
- Assisting Soldiers with requests for ID cards, passes, leaves of absence, and other administrative needs.
- Ordering and maintaining office supplies and managing filing systems for efficient record-keeping.
- Supporting the organization’s efforts to ensure compliance with policies and procedures related to personnel management.
