Role summary

Fidelity & Guaranty Life Insurance Company (F&G) is seeking a Sr. Event Planner to manage the end-to-end planning of Retail & Internal Events. This role involves coordinating distribution-related programs, managing budgets, vendors, client relationships, logistics, and tax reporting. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of relevant experience, including 3+ years in financial services or insurance marketing corporate events, and knowledge of annuity products. This position requires strong organizational, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with an aptitude for marketing and supporting sales teams within a financial services environment. The role offers a flexible, employee-centric hybrid work environment.

This role will focus on aligning with our Sales teams and coordinating distribution-related programs across the Marketing team. The successful candidate should have some knowledge of annuity products, experience supporting or as part of a financial services sales team, and an aptitude for marketing. This position will manage the end-to-end planning of Retail & Internal Events.

Duties & Responsibilities

Serve as the main planning contact with oversight on budget, vendor management, client relationship, logistics and tax reporting.

Coordinate with SVP level and above to ensure the F&G experience is carried through to the advisor through thoughtful planning, attention to detail, relevant content and the highest level of customer service

Represent F&G to our strategic partners to leverage their thought leadership and advisor education opportunities to bring to the advisor audience

Manage event registration systems to allow for an advisor friendly process

Proactively consider opportunities for ongoing improvement of the advisor experience

Supervisory Responsibilities: This role does not have formal people leadership responsibilities but may provide guidance, mentorship, or subject matter expertise to others.

Ability to work within a multi-functional financial services environment to prioritize and spearhead sales team marketing priorities as they relate to overall, and often shifting team objectives and strategies

Aptitude to learn key product capabilities and incorporate into effective marketing approaches

Must have excellent listening skills to discern most important aspects of sales team requests

Must be detail-oriented with proficient organization skills

Must work in a collaborative environment and take direction from a number of individuals at the same time based on project demand

Outstanding interpersonal skills; resourceful, action oriented, and ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced organization.

Comfortable in a high energy environment that values creativity, self-motivation, honesty and accountability.

Work environment will be fast-paced and deadline-oriented so must be able to handle multiple projects with multiple players from a variety of locations at any given time.

Education Level

Bachelor's Degree

Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related degree

Years of Experience

3+ year of relevant experience

3+ years of experience in insurance or financial marketing corporate events

Exposure to marketing to independent marketing organizations highly desirable

Financial Services knowledge; insurance industry preferred
