Role summary

The Ocean Import Specialist ensures timely delivery of ocean freight shipments by monitoring, tracking, and coordinating with carriers, shipping lines, and customs brokers. This role involves managing shipment data using ERP systems and Microsoft Excel, preparing import documentation, and processing AP/AR transactions. Fluency in Korean and English is required, along with strong organizational and detail-oriented skills for a fast-paced environment. A degree in a related field and 1-2 years of experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely shipment delivery in accordance with customer requirements and service expectations.
  • Monitor and track ocean freight shipments throughout the transportation process to maintain shipment visibility and provide timely updates.
  • Utilize ERP systems and Microsoft Excel to manage shipment data, monitor operational performance, and support data-driven logistics reporting.
  • Coordinate closely with ocean carriers to manage shipment schedules and support on-time delivery.
  • Collaborate with shipping lines and customs brokers to facilitate smooth and efficient import operations.
  • Prepare and review import documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance throughout the import process.
  • Manage and process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions accurately and in a timely manner.

    • Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field preferred.
  • 1–2 years of experience in ocean import operations, international freight forwarding, or a related logistics field preferred; entry-level candidates with relevant academic or internship experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Fluency in Korean and English is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to effectively coordinate with customers, carriers, customs brokers, and internal teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

    • Pay

    The base salary range for this role is between $50,000-$65,000 yearly, and your base salary will depend on your experiences, qualifications, and skills.
