Role summary

Sport & Spine Physical Therapy is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator in Portsmouth, NH. This role involves greeting patients, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, managing patient records, processing payments, and handling inquiries. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational, communication, computer, and interpersonal skills, with a strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality. Previous receptionist or customer service experience is preferred.

Sport & Spine Physical Therapy is a premier provider of physical therapy and sports medicine service serving Portsmouth, NH for over 20 years. As a PT-owned private practice, we are driven to provide highly individualized patient care that is centered on results. At Sport & Spine, we focus on relieving pain, improving movement, and restoring functioning. We also provide preventative healthcare and education to reduce a patient’s risk of re-injury. Our team is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Portsmouth, NH clinic as a Patient Care Coordinator!

*Hours needed: Monday through Friday 9am-6pm*

Your Role

As a Patient Care Coordinator at Sport & Spine Physical Therapy, you will be the first point of contact for our patients and will play a vital role in providing a positive and welcoming experience.

What you'll do:

Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.

Answer incoming phone calls and route them to the appropriate staff members efficiently.

Schedule appointments, verify insurance information, and assist with patient registration.

Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy of information in our computer systems.

Coordinate with therapists and clinicians to manage patient appointments effectively.

Handle payment processing and insurance-related inquiries with accuracy and confidentiality.

Maintain knowledge of clinic services and programs to answer patient inquiries effectively.

Demonstrate excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

About You

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role is preferred but not required.

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks, and ensure a smooth front desk operation.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact professionally with patients and internal staff.

Strong computer skills.

Excellent phone etiquette and strong interpersonal skills.

Valid driver's license.

Ability to work flexible afternoon and evening shifts.

Attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive patient information confidentially.
