Role summary
Galaxy is seeking a Data Center Controls Network Engineer to join its Pre-Construction team in Dallas, TX. This role will act as the owner's technical voice on OT networking, ensuring critical controls networks for cooling, electrical, and monitoring systems are robust and standardized across all campuses. Responsibilities include defining OT network positions, creating design standards, shaping bid lists, reviewing designs, coordinating with various teams (electrical, mechanical, IT, security), managing procurement and logistics for network hardware, defining OT/IT boundaries, establishing testing requirements, vetting equipment, and developing operational procedures. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in a related technical field and 7+ years of experience in designing and supporting OT or industrial networks in critical environments. Experience with network design, security, ICS, procurement, and commissioning is essential. This is a hybrid role with periodic travel.

What We Value:
We are a diverse team of free thinkers, and fast movers united to help investors and creators energize the global economy. We are looking for individuals who thrive in a culture of builders and overachievers and embrace high performance, transparent feedback, and a mission-first approach. Our culture shapes our way of working and gets us where we want to be.
Who You Are:
You are a controls and OT network engineer who has seen what happens when the network is treated as an afterthought, and you want a seat at the table when the decisions are actually made. You have built and supported networks that could not be allowed to fail, and you are ready to move upstream to the owner’s side of a large capital program, where one early call gets locked into drawings, procurement, and a GMP. You hold a position with conviction and change it when the evidence says so. You can walk a design firm through a markup, walk a finance partner through a cost tradeoff, and do both in the same afternoon
What You’ll Do:
Every Galaxy campus depends on a controls network that ties cooling, electrical, and monitoring systems together, and it has to behave the same way at the next site as it does at the last one. As Data Center Controls Network Engineer, you will sit within Galaxy’s Pre-Construction team and act as the owner’s technical voice on OT networking, from the point a site is acquired through GMP handoff to construction. You will begin with the Helios campus in Texas and carry what you learn into the sites that follow, working with Galaxy’s pre-construction, design and engineering, construction, and operations groups and with the design firms, integrators, and suppliers they engage. Clear standards and the freedom to make decisions inside them are how we work. This role is based in Dallas, TX on a hybrid schedule, with periodic travel to campuses and vendor sites.
