The Opportunity

As Strategic A&E Consultant Manager, you'll strengthen Gallagher Security's position within the Canadian architecture, engineering, and security consultant community. Given the bilingual nature of the Canadian market, fluency in both French and English is highly preferred.

This is a strategic, relationship-focused role. You'll build trusted partnerships with consultants and industry influencers, increase Gallagher's presence in specifications, and position our solutions earlier in the project lifecycle, working closely with sales teams, channel partners, and the wider Americas team to turn consultant influence into long-term growth.

Travel varies with business needs and can be up to three times a month, so flexibility is key and being based near a major airport would be a real advantage.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute consultant engagement strategies, building trusted relationships with security consultants, architects, engineers, and industry influencers across Canada.

  • Increase Gallagher's inclusion in Division 28 specifications and design standards, engaging early before projects reach the bid stage.

  • Identify consultant-led opportunities and support regional sales teams and channel partners to pursue them.

  • Monitor market, specification, and competitor trends, sharing insights with Sales, Product, Marketing, and wider teams.

  • Develop consultant resources, presentations, and training programs.

  • Represent Gallagher at industry events, workshops, and educational sessions.

  • Track consultant engagement, specifications, and influenced pipeline through CRM.

What You'll Bring

You're an experienced physical security professional who understands how consultants, architects, and engineers shape complex projects. You're commercially minded, technically credible, and confident building relationships with technical audiences, strategic stakeholders, and internal sales teams.

We're looking for someone with:

  • 5–7 years' experience within the physical electronic security industry, ideally spanning business development, consultant engagement, sales, specification development, or strategic account management.

  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English is highly preferred, given the nature of the Canadian market.

  • Flexibility to travel regularly, ideally based within easy reach of a major airport.

  • Experience working with security consultants, architects, and engineers, and a strong understanding of the design, bid, and procurement lifecycle.

  • Knowledge of Division 28 and related low-voltage building technologies.

  • Proven ability to build strategic relationships, influence decisions, and turn market insights into opportunities.

  • Experience using CRM for account planning and pipeline tracking.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to engage technical and executive audiences.

  • Experience presenting at industry events or developing new market initiatives would be an advantage.

  • Familiarity with Canadian markets (e.g. education, healthcare, government, critical infrastructure) and access control, perimeter, and video ecosystems would be beneficial.
