Founded in 1978 by 3-time Presidential appointee, Gavin de Becker, our firm’s Protectors, Analysts, and Investigators are committed to our mission of protecting human life through the assessment, prediction, and management of violence.GDBA is looking to add talent to a specialized close protection team in Miami, FL. This Miami-based field team provides close protection for local field details. This job starts long before a client arrives: we advance every location, map every route, and plan for every contingency. This team brings real close protection experience, the fitness to perform when it counts, and the composure to adjust when conditions shift. This position is best suited for experienced executive protection professionals.To be considered for this position, an applicant must live within a daily commutable distance of Miami, FL.Applicants can expect an earnings range for this position of $150,000 to $200,000+ commensurate with experience, overtime opportunities, and more. This is a full-time hourly position with benefits, not a contract-based role.GDBA’s ideal applicant possesses and is comfortable with all the following:

Extensive real-world experience working in a close protection role with UHNW individuals or other types of recognizable public/government figures during domestic and international travel.

This role requires a high level of comfort operating as a security driver in various locations and vehicle types, including experience with route planning and driving a manual transmission vehicle.

Experience independently conducting both physical and online advances, resulting in clear, well-written advance reports. Candidates should demonstrate a strong familiarity with navigating FBOs, hotels, and a wide range of public venues.

Hiring Process Requirements:

12-Day Introductory Training Academy in San Antonio, TX

Be able to pass physical readiness test (Pull-ups, Push-ups, Sit-ups, 800m run)

Must be able to swim

Must be drug and nicotine free

Background check required

Must be able to obtain appropriate state firearm and security licensing

Best in Class 401k Retirement Plan

$15,000 employer contribution for First-Year Associates

$3,000 employer contribution each year thereafter

10% no-limit matching for all Associates who choose to contribute to their retirement plan
