Role summary

Seeking an HIL Test Engineer to set up, configure, and commission Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) systems for ECU testing and validation. Responsibilities include integrating ECUs, developing test cases, performing signal mapping, debugging hardware/software/communication issues, and supporting automation. Requires experience in HIL setup, knowledge of ECU systems and automotive networks (CAN, LIN, UDS), and familiarity with tools like dSPACE, ETAS, NI, CANoe. Basic programming/scripting in Python, C, or CAPL and understanding of embedded systems are essential. Bachelor's/Master's in Electronics, Electrical, or related field required.

Role:

Responsible for the setup, configuration, and commissioning of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) systems for ECU testing and validation.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and commission HIL systems (dSPACE, ETAS, NI)
  • Integrate ECUs with HIL rigs and validate connectivity
  • Develop and execute test cases for system validation
  • Perform signal mapping, I/O configuration, and fault simulation
  • Debug issues in hardware, software, and communication (CAN, LIN)
  • Support automation using tools like CANoe, ControlDesk, or TestStand
  • Collaborate with development and validation teams

Requirements

  • Experience in HIL setup and commissioning
  • Strong knowledge of ECU systems and automotive networks (CAN, UDS)
  • Familiarity with tools: dSPACE / ETAS / NI / CANoe
  • Basic programming/scripting (Python, C, or CAPL)
  • Understanding of embedded systems

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s in Electronics, Electrical, or related field

Nice to Have

  • AUTOSAR (BSW/MCAL) knowledge
  • Test automation experience
  • Exposure to OTA or diagnostics
