Role summary
Gong is seeking a Vice President of Product Marketing to lead its global Product Marketing function and define the company's narrative and go-to-market strategy in the Revenue AI space. This role requires a deep understanding of Gong's products, AI technology, and customer value to establish defensible differentiation in a crowded market. The VP will partner closely with Product and GTM teams to drive growth, craft compelling messaging, support product launches, and tailor value propositions by industry and persona. Responsibilities also include evolving pricing and packaging, shaping the external narrative, and serving as a senior external ambassador. The ideal candidate has 15+ years of B2B enterprise software product marketing experience, with a proven track record in positioning technically sophisticated products, particularly AI, and leading high-performing teams in scaling organizations. Strong strategic thinking, executional excellence, and cross-functional partnership skills are essential. This role is based in one of Gong's hub locations (San Francisco, Salt Lake City, Austin, New York City Metro, Chicago) due to a hybrid work model.
Gong harnesses the power of AI to transform how revenue teams win. At Gong, you will join a company built on innovative products, ambitious goals, and passionate people. We are shaping the future of revenue intelligence and we want people who are excited to build what comes next. You will work with a team that dreams big, moves fast, and cares deeply about the craft and about each other. Here, transparency and trust are core to how we operate, and every person has the opportunity to make a visible impact. If you want to grow, stretch, and do work that truly matters, Gong is the place to do the best work of your career.
As Vice President of Product Marketing, you’ll lead the global Product Marketing function and shape the story, strategy, and go-to-market (GTM) execution that define Gong’s leadership in Revenue AI. In a market where nearly every product now claims to be “AI-powered,” your job is to establish what makes Gong defensibly different — grounded in a deep understanding of our products and technology, and mapped tightly to the value our customers care about. You’ll partner closely with Product and the broader GTM organization to drive clarity, excitement, and growth around Gong’s platform and solutions.
Reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer, this role is both strategic and hands-on, setting the vision for how Gong shows up in the market, while providing operational clarity to our teams and guiding them to win. It is a rare opportunity to lead at a company defining a new category and rewriting the rules of go-to-market success. You’ll have the platform, people, and purpose to make an impact — on our market, our customers, and our brand.
You MUST be located in one of our hub locations (San Francisco, Salt Lake City, Austin, New York City Metro, Chicago) due to our hybrid work model.
