Role summary

Google's XR team is seeking Senior Software Engineers to develop next-generation technologies at the convergence of AI and XR. You will work on critical projects, reimagining human interaction with the world through smart glasses and headsets augmented by AI. Responsibilities include ensuring product software and hardware readiness, guiding products through launch milestones, and applying core technology to production. This role requires strong C/C++ skills, experience with embedded operating systems, software design, architecture, and bringing consumer electronics to production.

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience with software development in C/C++.
3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
3 years of experience working with embedded operating systems.
Experience in taking consumer electronics devices to production.

Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
Experience developing accessible technologies.
Experience with version control systems like Git and code review tools like Gerrit.
Knowledge of embedded development and Microcontroller (MCU) Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) systems.

US: $174000 - $252000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
