Role summary

Raxium is seeking a Senior Equipment Engineer specializing in Wet Chemical Process to join their MicroLED and AR display technology team. This role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing a wide range of semiconductor processing and cleanroom equipment, with a focus on wet etch processes. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring tool availability, process stability, and leading root-cause analysis for equipment failures. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is key to improving tool uptime and line yield. The position requires a strong background in semiconductor equipment, hardware/software troubleshooting, and automation systems.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience maintaining and troubleshooting semiconductor processing equipment (e.g., wet etch equipment, wafer handling, Spin Rinser Dryers (SRDs), wet benches, or metering pumps).
  • Experience diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues.
  • Experience with semiconductor equipment processes and automation systems (e.g., PLCs, robotics, etc.).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's or PhD degree in Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1 year of technical leadership expertise.
  • Advanced aptitude in equipment engineering directly related to wet etch equipment and processes.

About the job:

The Raxium Facility and Equipment team maintains a broad range of semiconductor and facility equipment and cleanroom infrastructure. Our expertise lies in understanding the relationship between semiconductor processing and its support equipment, enabling us to troubleshoot problems, execute tasks and collaborate on installing, modifying, maintaining and repairing cleanroom and facility support equipment.

As a Senior Wet Chemical Process Equipment Engineer, safety and quality guide everything you do. You will play a central role in our MicroLED and AR development by supporting experiments, driving the installation, upkeep, and optimization of a broad equipment suite; including automated wet benches, spray tools, ECP, SRDs, and chemical handling systems. Working alongside cross-functional teams, you will manage complex hardware issues to improve tool uptime and line yield.
