Established in 1980, Greater Lawrence Family Health Center (GLFHC) is a mission-driven, multi-site nonprofit organization serving the Merrimack Valley. With more than 700 employees, GLFHC is nationally recognized for delivering high-quality community-based care and is the sponsoring organization for the Lawrence Family Medicine Residency program.

GLFHC is seeking a Patient Access Coordinator (PAC) to join our Operations team. This position plays an important role in helping patients access healthcare by assisting individuals and families with health insurance enrollment, eligibility, and coverage-related needs.

The PAC works directly with patients, community partners, and state enrollment resources to help remove barriers to care. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, navigating complex processes, and making a direct impact in the community.

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Assist patients with enrollment and renewal applications for MassHealth, the Massachusetts Health Connector, and other available coverage programs.
  • Guide patients through application requirements, documentation collection, eligibility questions, and follow-up.
  • Conduct outreach to uninsured and underinsured patients and connect them with appropriate coverage and community resources.
  • Track applications, maintain accurate records, and document activity within electronic systems and reporting tools.
  • Serve as a liaison with MassHealth Enrollment Centers and other external agencies to help resolve coverage-related issues.
  • Participate in community outreach initiatives and represent GLFHC at enrollment events, health fairs, and other community programs.
  • Assist with onboarding and training new team members on workflows, systems, and enrollment processes.
  • Support scheduling, reporting, documentation, and other administrative functions as needed.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish required.
  • Strong communication, customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills required.
  • Experience working in healthcare, insurance enrollment, community outreach, patient access, or a related environment preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems preferred.
  • Public speaking, outreach, or training experience is a plus.
  • Associate's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
  • Ability to travel between GLFHC locations and participate in community events as needed.

Compensation & Benefits

The hourly range for this position is $21.28–$24.82, with final compensation determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, internal equity, and organizational guidelines.

GLFHC offers a comprehensive benefits package, opportunities for professional growth, tuition reimbursement, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the communities we serve.
