Role summary
Seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Tech in Mechanicsburg to assist licensed physical therapists with patient care and therapeutic treatments. Responsibilities include preparing treatment areas, maintaining equipment, applying therapies, monitoring patient progress, scheduling appointments, and ensuring a clean and organized environment. Requires strong communication, teamwork, physical stamina, organizational skills, basic computer proficiency, and attention to detail. Enrollment in a physical therapy or occupational therapy program is preferred.
We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Tech to join our healthcare team in Mechanicsburg. In this role, you will work alongside licensed physical therapists to provide exceptional patient care and support therapeutic treatments.
- Assist physical therapists in delivering patient treatments and therapeutic exercises
- Prepare treatment areas and maintain therapy equipment
- Apply hot and cold therapy treatments according to established protocols
- Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the therapy area
- Set up and maintain therapy equipment and supplies
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures
- Currently enrolled in a physical therapy or occupational therapy program (preferred)
- Working toward obtaining a college degree
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Physical stamina to assist patients and handle equipment
- Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities
- Basic computer skills for maintaining electronic records
- Knowledge of therapy equipment and safety protocols
- Genuine compassion for helping others
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed
