We're working with a global leader in food and agricultural logistics that connects farmers to markets in over 70 countries on this exciting opportunity. We are looking for a technical powerhouse to drive the stability and performance of high-scale digital infrastructure using enterprise middleware solutions.
As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will be the architect behind the seamless delivery of essential products, leveraging expert-level WebSphere and WebLogic administration to keep a massive global supply chain moving. You will bridge the gap between legacy reliability and modern automation, ensuring that mission-critical applications remain scalable, secure, and high-performing.
The Role
• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of robust digital technology infrastructure to support enterprise-scale applications.
• Automate complex deployment processes by integrating internal platforms with CI/CD pipelines and twelve-factor development methodologies.
• Optimize platform performance through advanced clustering, fine-tuning, and troubleshooting of WebSphere and WebLogic environments.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate complex business requirements into scalable code and technical documentation.
• Modernize middleware workloads by implementing Docker and Kubernetes where applicable to enhance portability and reliability.
What You'll Need
• 5+ years of professional experience in Platform or Middleware Engineering with deep expertise in IBM WebSphere and Oracle WebLogic administration.
• Strong proficiency in automation and scripting using Python, Shell, WLST, or wsadmin to streamline environment management.
• Hands-on Experience with web hosting (Apache, IIS) and networking technologies like NGINX, IBM HTTP Server, or reverse proxy/load balancing.
• Advanced monitoring and observability skills using industry-standard tools like AppDynamics or Datadog.
• Deep understanding of security standards including SSL/TLS, LDAP, and SSO to ensure compliant and secure configurations.
