Senior Platform Engineer - API

In this role, you will be the architect and driver of digital infrastructure, leveraging technologies like Kong and Apigee to scale global services. Your mission is to build robust, automated pipelines that support millions of daily interactions, ensuring the world’s food supply chain remains resilient and agile.

The Role

• Lead the design and deployment of enterprise-grade API management platforms including Kong, Google Apigee, or Broadcom Layer7.

• Master the API lifecycle from initial design and publishing to versioning, traffic management, and retirement.

• Architect secure systems using OAuth 2.0, JWT, and OpenID Connect to protect global data streams.

• Automate everything using Python, Ansible, and Shell scripting to ensure seamless CI/CD integration for the API platform.

• Optimize system performance through advanced monitoring and analytics using Prometheus and Grafana within Kubernetes environments.

What You'll Need

• 4-5+ years of deep experience in Platform Engineering or DevOps with a heavy focus on API Gateway architecture and Cloud-Native solutions.

• Proven expertise with containerization tools specifically Docker and Kubernetes.

• Hands-on technical background in 12-factor app development and TDD (Test Driven Development).

• Advanced proficiency in automation and scripting languages such as Python and Ansible.

• Strong understanding of networking, rate limiting, and security policies in a distributed, high-availability environment.
