A Cyber Security Engineer is needed for a leading foodservice company to monitor and audit network security controls across IT and OT environments. The role involves analyzing network traffic and packet captures to detect suspicious activity, partnering with SOC and EDR providers on alerts and incidents, and supporting incident response efforts. Key responsibilities include leveraging EDR and SIEM for investigations, building/tuning detections, and improving visibility into east-west traffic and lateral movement. The ideal candidate will have strong network fundamentals, experience with OT or industrial networks, and scripting/automation skills.

The Role

• Monitor and audit network security controls across IT and OT environments

• Analyze network traffic and packet captures to identify suspicious activity

• Partner with SOC and EDR providers on alerts and incidents

• Support incident response activities, including containment and remediation

• Leverage EDR and SIEM for investigations and build/tune detections

• Improve visibility into east-west traffic and lateral movement

What You'll Need

• Strong hands-on security or network security experience

• Very strong network fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, switching, firewalls)

• Ability to analyze packet captures and network logs confidently

• Experience supporting or working closely with SOC operations

• Strong troubleshooting mindset and comfort working live incidents

• Experience with OT or industrial networks (PLC, SCADA, manufacturing)

• Scripting or automation skills (Python, PowerShell)
