We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to scale a high-performance API ecosystem. This is a chance to drive digital transformation using cutting-edge API Management platforms like Kong, Apigee, or Layer7 while implementing robust automation via Python, Ansible, and Kubernetes.

The Role

• Lead the design and maintenance of a global API infrastructure, ensuring high performance, scalability, and 24/7 reliability for critical business applications.

• Drive the automation of deployment processes through CI/CD pipelines and Twelve-Factor methodology to ensure seamless, repeatable software releases.

• Partner with cross-functional product teams to implement advanced API Gateway features, traffic management, rate limiting, and security policies.

• Manage the full API lifecycle including design, versioning, and retirement, while mentoring junior engineers on clean, efficient code standards.

• Optimize platform visibility by implementing monitoring and analytics tools such as Prometheus and Grafana to track performance and usage metrics.

What You'll Need

• At least 4-5+ years of relevant experience in Platform Engineering or DevOps, specifically focused on API infrastructure at scale.

• Deep expertise in API Management platforms (Kong, Broadcom Layer7, Google Apigee) and Gateway architecture.

• Strong hands-on experience with modern security standards including OAuth 2.0, JWT, and OpenID Connect (OIDC).

• Proven proficiency in automation and scripting using Python, Shell, and Ansible within Docker and Kubernetes environments.

• Solid understanding of DevOps practices, TDD (Test Driven Development), and high-availability cloud-native configurations.
