UX Designer
Role summary
We are seeking a mission-driven UX/UI Designer to lead user-centered design for complex government systems supporting national security initiatives. The role involves the end-to-end design process, from user research and workflow analysis to architecting wireframes, prototypes, and mockups using tools like Figma and Adobe XD. A key responsibility is ensuring all digital assets meet Section 508 compliance and government accessibility standards. The designer will collaborate closely with development teams, leveraging knowledge of HTML/CSS principles for seamless handoffs. An active TS/SCI security clearance and the ability to work onsite 5 days a week in San Antonio are required.

The Role
• Lead the end-to-end design process for critical Government systems, translating complex functional requirements into usable, consistent, and accessible user-centered designs.
• Conduct deep-dive user research, workflow analysis, and usability evaluations to ensure systems meet the rigorous demands of national security stakeholders.
• Architect high-fidelity wireframes, interactive prototypes, and mockups using industry-standard tools like Figma, Sketch, and InVision.
• Ensure all digital assets achieve full Section 508 compliance and adhere to stringent government accessibility standards and design guidelines.
• Partner closely with development teams to bridge the gap between design and implementation using a strong understanding of HTML/CSS principles.
What You'll Need
• Active TS/SCI security clearance (Required).
• At least 5 years of professional experience in UX/UI Design (or 3 years with a related Bachelor’s degree).
• Expert-level proficiency in Figma, Sketch, InVision, or Adobe XD for developing design artifacts.
• Demonstrated technical knowledge of HTML/CSS principles to support seamless developer handoffs.
• Ability to work on-site 5 days a week in San Antonio to collaborate with mission-critical teams.
