We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to own the API ecosystem, leveraging advanced gateway architectures and high-throughput traffic management to power a massive global supply chain. You will work with enterprise-grade tools like Kong, Google Apigee, and Kubernetes to build scalable, secure, and highly automated API solutions.

The Role

• Lead the design and implementation of robust API gateway architectures using Kong, Apigee, or Broadcom Layer7 to manage global traffic.

• Automate complex software deployment processes using CI/CD pipelines, Ansible scripts, and Twelve-Factor App methodologies.

• Secure the ecosystem by implementing advanced security protocols including OAuth 2.0, JWT, and OpenID Connect across the API lifecycle.

• Ensure platform reliability and performance through proactive monitoring and observability using Prometheus and Grafana.

• Partner with cross-functional product teams to gather requirements and deliver high-quality, scalable code that meets complex business goals.

What You'll Need

• 5+ years of relevant experience in platform engineering or infrastructure roles with a heavy focus on API management.

• Proven expertise in API Gateway technologies such as Kong, Google Apigee, or Broadcom Layer7.

• Advanced proficiency in automation and scripting using Python, Shell, and Ansible within a DevOps environment.

• Deep understanding of cloud-native solutions, specifically Docker and Kubernetes orchestration.

• Strong background in API security standards (OAuth 2.0, JWT) and lifecycle management from design to retirement.
