We're working with a leading telecommunications and high-speed internet provider on this exciting opportunity. We are looking for a code-fluent network professional to Bridge the gap between infrastructure and software, driving the evolution of large-scale connectivity through Python-driven automation.
In this role, you will move beyond manual CLI entry to build robust, scalable backend systems and data pipelines. You will leverage a modern DevOps stack including Docker and CI/CD workflows to transform how network services are deployed and maintained across a nationwide footprint.
The Role
• Develop and maintain sophisticated Python and Ansible automations for mission-critical network engineering workflows and backend provisioning systems.
• Build and optimize data pipelines using tools like Apache Airflow or Talend to monitor infrastructure health and automate response patterns.
• Program backend automation tasks and work directly with APIs and SQL databases to streamline device deployment and management.
• Collaborate in an Agile environment to translate user requirements into features, participating in code demonstrations and writing Low Level Design (LLD) documentation.
• Architect and troubleshoot automation tasks for multi-vendor environments using NETCONF, Netmiko, NAPALM, and SNMP.
What You'll Need
• 5+ years of Network Engineering experience with a deep focus on hands-on automation and Python scripting (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
• Expert-level proficiency in backend automation, API development, and data structures, including strong familiarity with SQL databases.
• Deep experience with network-specific automation libraries such as NETCONF, Netmiko, NAPALM, TextFSM, and Ansible network modules.
• Proven experience with containerization technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift to manage microservices.
• Hands-on familiarity with modern frontend and DevOps tools including React, JavaScript, and CI/CD workflow best practices.
