Role summary
WPTZ/WNNE, an NBC affiliate in the Burlington, VT/Plattsburgh, NY market, seeks a Weekend Anchor Reporter. This role requires energy, credibility, poise, and personality for both live reporting and anchoring. Responsibilities include enterprise exclusives, breaking big stories, conducting live shots, asking tough questions, holding power accountable, and mentoring producers and reporters. The candidate will write and edit scripts with viewer interaction in mind, work fast under tight deadlines, develop sources, and possess excellent live reporting skills. A minimum of 1 year of anchor and/or reporting experience is required, with a demo reel indicative of everyday work. The role also involves operating mobile transmission devices, working in various conditions, and maintaining journalistic integrity.

You are versatile, enterprising, and can work fast and efficiently, and work well under tight deadlines, can develop sources, and have excellent live reporting skills. You will report to the News Director.

Salary
The estimated base salary for this role is $45,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skills, work experience, business needs, market demands and conditions, including geographic location where the work will be performed, and other factors permitted by law. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
