Role summary
WMUR, an ABC affiliate in Manchester, NH, seeks a Part-time Master Control Operator to manage broadcast equipment and on-air content. Responsibilities include monitoring channels, preparing content, building playlists, ensuring regulatory compliance and quality control, and documenting transmission events. The role involves ingesting and timing commercials and programs, operating broadcast automation equipment, following FCC and EAS procedures, monitoring transmitters, and maintaining logs. The operator will also acquire content from distributors and report equipment or transmission issues. A minimum of 1 year of computer and software application experience is required, with prior television station operations experience preferred. Training will be provided for qualified candidates.
