Role summary

HelloFresh is seeking a Procurement Buyer to manage purchase orders for food or packaging SKUs, ensuring correct pricing, quantity, and buffer levels. This role involves partnering with distribution centers and suppliers for timely deliveries and inventory management, driving continuous improvement, and analyzing purchasing data. Responsibilities include resolving supplier issues, conducting weekly operations processes (updating POs, tracking freight, managing production, paying invoices, scrubbing data, inventory levels), and supporting teammates to prevent procurement-related issues. The ideal candidate is customer-centric, detail-oriented, data-driven, and highly adaptable, with 1-3 years of procurement/sourcing experience and strong MS Excel skills.

You will …

Place purchase orders to allocated vendors for a variety of food or packaging Stock Keeping Units (SKUs), at the correct price, quantity, buffer, etc.

Partner with HelloFresh distribution centers, offsite production and warehouse locations, and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and inventories match demand requirements

Drive continuous improvement efforts by recommending changes, testing new processes, and implementing updates

Analyze purchasing data to ensure accuracy of information, purchasing procedures and identify any discrepancies, etc

Resolve any unforeseen problems with suppliers relating to operations, purchasing or quality/performance quickly and professionally

Conduct all weekly operations processes including updating POs, tracking freight, managing production issues, paying invoices, scrubbing data and managing inventory levels.

Support your teammates to ensure that no boxes are missed and no ingredients are subbed due to procurement issues.

Work with a team of internal high-achievers to continue building, growing, and improving on our offsite production capabilities

A Bachelor’s degree is required

1-3 years of procurement and/or sourcing experience

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically MS Excel

Must be flexible to work weekends (3x a quarter)
