Role summary
Parameter is seeking a Go-to-Market (GTM) Engineer, their first hire in this function, to build pipeline and drive growth. This role involves a blend of sales, marketing, and technical skills, requiring the ability to build custom tools for prospecting, campaign management, and workflow automation. Responsibilities include managing outbound campaigns, running paid ads, launching lead-generating initiatives, and conducting sales calls. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of startup experience in growth, sales, or marketing, a proven track record of bringing in pipeline or revenue, and comfort with scripting and tool building. Experience selling to technical buyers is essential. This is an onsite role in San Francisco.
About Parameter
Parameter builds AI agents that run penetration tests on production applications and cloud environments. Our agents find access control bugs, IDORs, XSS, and cloud misconfigurations that scanners miss. We've reported real, high-severity vulnerabilities to well-known tech companies, and that work brings in most of our customers.
We're a seed-stage YC company based in San Francisco.
The role
This is our first go-to-market hire. You'll work directly with the founders to build our pipeline, from finding the right accounts to getting meetings on the calendar to helping close deals.
We want someone who sells and markets, and who's technical enough to build their own tools. If you need a prospecting workflow, a landing page, or a better way to track ads spend, you'll build it yourself instead of waiting on engineering.
Responsibilities
Build and manage outbound across email, LinkedIn, and events, including targeting, messaging, and follow-up
Set up and maintain prospecting, enrichment, and CRM workflows with tools like Clay, Apollo, and HubSpot or Attio
Run paid campaigns on LinkedIn, Google, and X, manage the budget, and report on what turns into pipeline
Launch landing pages, free tools, content, and partnerships that bring in qualified leads
Take early sales and discovery calls alongside the founders
Track pipeline and channel performance, and report on it weekly
Qualifications
2+ years in growth, sales, or marketing at a startup, or experience founding or growing your own company
A track record you can point to, such as pipeline, revenue, or customers you brought in
Experience running paid ads and measuring their return
Comfortable with scripting, automation, or building small tools (AI coding tools count)
Clear, concise writing
Comfortable talking with technical buyers such as CISOs, security engineers, and CTOs
Nice to have
Experience selling to security or developer teams
An engineering or technical background
Compensation and benefits
Base salary of $120,000 – $200,000, depending on experience
Equity
Medical, dental, and vision insurance
Relocation assistance to San Francisco
Team lunches and dinners in the office
Interview process
Intro call with a founder (45 minutes)
Paid work trial (about one day)
Team conversations and reference checks
This role is onsite in San Francisco. Candidates must be authorized to work in the US. We are not able to sponsor visas at this time.
