About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Analyst to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping our data analytics capabilities. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and scaling our analytics infrastructure to support strategic decision-making across various departments. You will centralize data from multiple sources, including retail partners, eCommerce platforms, marketing channels, and social media, to create a unified view of business performance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence company growth through data-driven insights and to collaborate closely with leadership and cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will possess a strategic mindset combined with hands-on technical expertise, enabling them to translate complex datasets into actionable recommendations that support product launches, inventory management, marketing strategies, and overall business growth.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have at least 6+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or data strategy, preferably within the CPG, retail, or eCommerce sectors. Proficiency in SQL and advanced data manipulation skills are essential, along with extensive experience working with large, multi-source datasets such as retail POS, DTC platforms, and marketing tools. Strong expertise in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker is required to develop insightful dashboards and reports. Candidates should demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proven track record of building data pipelines, analytics frameworks, and dashboards from scratch. Effective communication skills are crucial for partnering with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex data into clear, actionable insights. Additional preferred qualifications include experience with retail data platforms like Nielsen or IRI, familiarity with marketing attribution and campaign analytics, and experience working in high-growth startup environments or emerging CPG brands.
Responsibilities
The Lead Data Analyst will be responsible for centralizing and structuring data across diverse sources, including retail partners, DTC platforms, subscription services, marketing channels, and social media. They will design and implement scalable data models and reporting frameworks to support cross-functional analytics initiatives. Developing and maintaining real-time dashboards and visualizations to monitor sales performance, product launches, customer behavior, and marketing ROI will be a core part of the role. Analyzing sell-through data, velocity, and store-level performance from syndicated sources will help inform strategic decisions. The analyst will partner with leadership to define key performance metrics and KPIs across retail, eCommerce, and marketing channels. They will translate complex datasets into clear insights and strategic recommendations to support inventory planning, product development, and growth initiatives. Ensuring data accuracy, governance, and accessibility across the organization is vital, as is collaborating with sales, marketing, and operations teams to identify new opportunities for data-driven decision-making.
