Role summary

Holder Construction, a top-ranked construction firm, seeks an Entry-Level Office Engineer for its Operations team in Ohio. This full-time, onsite role involves trade coordination, material management, cost control, and project management support. Responsibilities include reading design documents, performing cost estimates and quantity surveys, and managing trades, with some exposure to BIM. A Bachelor's degree in a construction/engineering field is required, along with strong communication, time management, computer, and collaboration skills. Relocation is preferred.

    • We are looking for an Entry-Level Office Engineer to join our Operations team on our project site at one of our multiple Ohio locations. This is a full-time, in-person position.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Initial responsibilities would include on site trade coordination and management, coordination of material design, fabrication, delivery and installation, ongoing interaction with field supervision, management of cost and design issues (change orders, RFI’s, document updates, etc.) and other responsibilities focused on overall project management and success.
  • Read and understand Construction Design Documents and Specifications.
  • Perform construction cost estimates and quantity surveys for various scopes of work.
  • Overall trade management and coordination, and some level of exposure to BIM.

    • Qualifications

    Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in a construction/engineering related field
  • Successful candidates will also possess outstanding communication and time management skills, computer skills, and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.

    • Preferred:

  • Willingness to relocate as needed.
