Holder Construction is seeking a Carpenter for their Operations team in Conesville, OH. This full-time role involves constructing and maintaining safety features, enclosures, and performing various carpentry tasks such as sawing, stripping, nailing, measuring, and drilling. The position requires 5 years of construction experience, the ability to read basic drawings, and training in construction safety protocols (OSHA 10, fall protection, mobile elevated platforms). Experience with concrete work is a significant plus. Candidates must demonstrate task ownership, professionalism, and critical thinking, with strong physical capabilities including lifting up to 100 lbs and working at heights. The role also requires punctuality and the ability to work overtime and weekends.

    • About the Role

    We are looking for a Carpenter to join our Operations team on our project in Conesville, OH. This is a full-time position.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Constructing and maintaining safety handrails and hole protection, steps and gang ladders, temporary weather enclosures and protection.
  • Also does sawing, stripping, nailing, measuring, drilling, and other duties assigned by supervisor.
  • Experience working with Concrete is a HUGE plus.

    • Qualifications:

    Required:

  • Possess 5 years of construction experience.
  • Must be able to read basic drawings.
  • Have training on construction safety protocols (i.e. OSHA 10, fall protection, mobile elevated platform (boom and scissor).
  • This position will provide primary support to our field supervision and must demonstrate ownership of assigned tasks, maintain professionalism, and use critical thinking to solve issues.
  • Must be agile/mobile, remain alert, be able to stand or walk for long periods of time, use fingers, hands & arms to reach, handle and manipulate objects, climb up/down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects.
  • Work on uneven surfaces/heights, be able to read/write, and can see & hear well either naturally or with correction.
  • Must be able to lift and carry materials of all shapes and sizes weighing 50-100 lbs., 75% of the time.

    • Preferred:

  • Individuals must be able to work in an OSHA compliant safety environment.
  • Must be able to work outside.
  • Must be able to work overtime and weekend hours.
  • Punctuality and promptness are required every day.
