Role summary

Horace Mann is seeking an Exclusive Insurance Agent in Sumter, SC, to build their own agency and serve educators. This 1099 contract role offers competitive, performance-based compensation with a 48-month incentive package, a dedicated service representative, an exclusive territory, and ongoing training. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and business management skills, a commitment to client financial security, and the ability to build relationships and present products. Required licenses include Life and Health, Property and Casualty, and potentially FINRA Series 6 & 63. Preferred experience is 2-5 years in the insurance and financial services industry.

    • What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong interpersonal and business management skills to build and manage your agency
  • 2-5 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry (preferred)
  • Resident State General Lines Insurance Licenses:
  • Life and Health Insurance License
  • Property and Casualty Insurance License
  • Ability to obtain FINRA Series 6 & 63 licenses (if applicable in your region)
