Role summary

Highrise AI is seeking a NOC Engineer to provide 24x7 oversight and incident response for its GPU-native AI infrastructure platform. The role involves proactive monitoring, customer case triage, and incident management to ensure SLA commitments are met. Responsibilities include providing direct customer support, managing resource pools, documenting procedures, and collaborating with SRE and product teams. The ideal candidate has a degree or equivalent experience, 2+ years supporting customers in 24x7 network/compute environments, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and excellent communication and customer service orientation. This is a full-time, hybrid or remote role requiring potential travel to data centers.

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for Network Operations Engineers to provide 24x7 oversight and response to service impacts to our AI/ML infrastructure. The successful candidate combines proven experience in high-stakes 24x7 environments, demonstrated technical aptitude in learning new systems and procedures quickly, and excellent customer-facing skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Proactive Monitoring, Customer Case Triage, and Incident Management Support

  • Provide low-latency, context-aware direct customer support to ensure Highrise customers get the most from our infrastructure.
  • Manage impacts to compute, storage, and network resource pools to meet SLA commitments.
  • Help drive customer-driven workflow by aiding in the triage of inbound cases.
  • Provide timely updates on incidents, and escalation when necessary.

    • Documentation, Enablement, and Collaboration

  • Create and maintain clear documentation, standards, and runbooks for your focus area.
  • Aid SRE in fleet management including firmware and configuration upgrades and orchestration of planned maintenance.
  • Bring the voice of the customer to product and platform teams to ensure we deliver the services and features they need.

    Education and Experience

  • College diploma or university degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, and/or equivalent work experience.
  • 2 years or more experience with directly supporting customers using network and/or compute infrastructure at scale in 24x7 environments.

    • ABOUT THE WORK ENVIRONMENT

    This is a full-time, engineering role supporting large-scale AI compute infrastructure across multiple sites. Travel to data centers for cluster commissioning, acceptance, and complex troubleshooting will be required. Flexibility to assist with critical incidents or maintenance activities outside regular business hours is expected. This role is hybrid or remote depending on location.
