Role summary

IBM is seeking an Associate Strategy Specialist for its Enterprise & Industry Strategy practice. This role involves helping organizations solve complex business challenges, identify growth opportunities, and create long-term value through strategy, transformation, and innovation. Responsibilities include conducting market research, analyzing data, evaluating strategic opportunities, and developing recommendations. The position requires a foundational understanding of business strategy, market analysis, and digital transformation concepts, with exposure through coursework or internships. Candidates should possess strong analytical and communication skills, with a curiosity for emerging technologies like AI. This is a hybrid role suitable for recent graduates with relevant degrees.

As an Associate Strategy Specialist in IBM's Enterprise & Industry Strategy practice, you'll help organizations solve complex business challenges, identify growth opportunities, and create long-term value through strategy, transformation, and innovation.

As part of our Enterprise & Industry Strategy practice, you'll work with clients to reimagine business models, improve performance, enhance customer and employee experiences, and navigate evolving market dynamics. No two projects are exactly alike—you could support organizations across healthcare, financial services, public sector, federal sector, automotive, energy, retail, industrial, or manufacturing industries.

Work side-by-side with experienced strategists, consultants, data specialists, AI practitioners, and business leaders to solve real-world challenges. Through mentorship, career coaching, certifications, AI-enabled consulting, and hands-on client experiences, you'll develop the skills needed to grow into a future consulting leader. Conduct market and industry research, analyze business and financial data, evaluate strategic opportunities, and contribute to recommendations that help clients solve complex challenges and drive long-term business value.

To give yourself the best opportunity for success, we advise applying only to roles that align with your skills and experience, rather than applying broadly across all entry-level positions. You’ll receive a status update email for each application, so be sure to check your IBM Careers account regularly — it’s the best way to get a centralized view of which roles you have active applications against.
