Role summary

Imagine Pediatrics is seeking a licensed/certified Paramedic to provide episodic in-home care for pediatric members. This float role requires at least 80% travel across various markets, with a Monday-Friday schedule. Responsibilities include collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to deliver medical, behavioral, and social care, assisting with urgent needs, conducting clinical intake visits, and preventing readmissions. The role utilizes an integrated technology platform and EMR (Athena). Candidates must have an active EMT-Paramedic license in Texas (or NREMT), PALS, ACLS, BLS certifications, and 3+ years of field clinical experience. Preferred experience includes pediatrics, critical care, telehealth, or community paramedicine. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.

This is a TRAVEL position requiring 80% travel across multiple states - NOT a local role

This role requires at least 80% travel to support episodic in-home care operations across various markets, providing care coverage in multiple geographic regions.

The schedule is expected to be Monday – Friday 10am - 6pm local time with flexibility based on member needs, visit locations, and virtual acute care support.

What You’ll Do

As a Pediatric Home Care Specialist (Paramedic Certified) with Imagine Pediatrics, you will in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, facilitate in home delivery of episodic and longitudinal care. You leverage an integrated technology platform and are complimented by an entire interdisciplinary team including APPs, registered nurses, navigators, pharmacists, psychiatrists, social workers, and therapists. You will:

  • Travel to members’ homes, or wherever in the community our members are, in response to requests for acute and episodic medical, behavioral, and social needs.
  • Work closely as a member of an integrated care team to provide high-quality, compassionate, and skilled care to our pediatric members and their families.
  • Assist, in collaboration with other members of the integrated care team, with urgent needs for our members. Provide therapeutic intervention under the direct guidance of a physician.
  • Assist in the engagement and onboarding of new members by helping conduct and facilitate clinical intake visits.
  • Engage with members recently discharged from inpatient admission or recently seen in the Emergency Department to prevent readmission, and identify and solve root causes of readmission.
  • Document care in the EMR (Athena) and communicate with families through Imagine Pediatrics’ proprietary application.
  • Utilize virtual platforms and digital tools confidently to support care delivery.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    • What You Bring & How You Qualify

    First and foremost, you’re passionate and committed to reimagining pediatric health care and creating a world where every child with special health care needs gets the care and support they deserve. You will need:

  • Active EMT-Paramedic license in at least one of the following states: Florida, Tennessee, North Carolina, Missouri, Texas, Georgia, Louisiana, or the District of Columbia, and/or active National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) certification
  • PALS, ACLS, and BLS required
  • 3+ years of field clinical experience. Nice to have: experience with pediatric patients and/or non-traditional Paramedic roles such as: critical care, primary care, tele-health, community paramedicine, mobile integrated healthcare, emergency room, or value-based care delivery.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record, along with reliable transportation.
  • Comfort driving long distances in varied weather conditions.
  • Strong critical thinking skills, excellent communication skills, and effective collaboration.
  • Experience and ability to use and navigate multiple technology platforms in care delivery.
