Job Description

In the assigned Job Role of Technology Consultant 2, your Area Of Responsibility will be as below:

⦁ Contribute to the requirements elicitation process by documenting assigned parts of business requirements, in line with guidance provided
⦁ Facilitate software application design discussions, and document design decisions to guide the technical team towards building software solutions
⦁ Participate in coding and integrate new features or updates into existing applications, with a focus on maintaining system stability
⦁ Conduct code reviews, do changes to the codebase and maintain code repositories
⦁ Implement test strategies, analyse results, and coordinate bug fixes to uphold the software quality standards
⦁ Develop user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks to ensure a smooth transition to new software applications
⦁ Actively participate in resolving production issues and recommend preventive strategies to enhance system reliability
⦁ Maintain detailed records of code, testing techniques, and support activities to enrich the knowledge base and assist other similar projects

Required Skill and Experience

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data product and data pipelines using Starburst, ensuring performance, reliability, and security.
• Optimize queries, monitor data workflows, and proactively troubleshoot performance or processing issues.
• Integrate Starburst with diverse data sources, including cloud platforms, databases, and external APIs.
• Write complex and high-performing queries using SQL across large datasets
• Build and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools such as Tableau and MicroStrategy
• Develop and automate data processing and analytics workflows using Python
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality, analytics-ready data solutions.
• Implement best practices for data quality, testing, documentation, and continuously improve solutions using emerging data engineering technologies.

Preferred Skill and Experience

• Work with Cloudera Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, Hive, Impala, Spark) for data ingestion, transformation, and analysis
• Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Knowledge of data modeling and analytics best practices
• Exposure to streaming or near-real-time analytics
• Understanding of data governance and security frameworks
• Partner with business users to translate requirements into scalable analytics solutions
• Ensure data quality, performance tuning, and query optimization across platforms.

Additional Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
