Role summary

INFUSE, a demand generation company, seeks a detail-oriented B2B Proofreader for a remote, contract role. This position involves editing and proofreading long-form and short-form B2B content to ensure accuracy, polish, brand alignment, and achievement of client goals. The ideal candidate will possess excellent English writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with at least one year of experience in proofreading/editing and writing. Responsibilities include ensuring content adheres to style guides and messaging, providing feedback to writers, verifying data and sources, and managing multiple assignments to meet deadlines. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential.

This role is responsible for editing and proofreading long-form and short-form content to ensure it is accurate, polished, on-brand, and aligned with client goals. The right candidate is a strong communicator who can collaborate with writers and internal teams to maintain high-quality content and keep projects moving forward.

Responsibilities:

Edit and proofread B2B content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, syntax, usage, clarity, consistency, and brand voice

Ensure content aligns with client style guides, editorial standards, messaging, and project requirements

Provide clear, constructive feedback to writers

Cross-check references, claims, data, and source material for accuracy

Identify factual inconsistencies, unsupported statements, and potential plagiarism

Collaborate with writers, designers, and other departments

Review and occasionally revise internal documents and client-facing materials

Manage multiple assignments while meeting deadlines

Maintain a high standard of quality across all reviewed content

Qualifications:

Excellent English writing, editing, and proofreading skills

Strong understanding of grammar, punctuation, syntax, style, and usage

Experience editing and proofreading long-form and short-form content

1+ year of proofreading or editing experience

1+ year of writing experience

B2B content experience preferred

Familiarity with style guides and brand voice requirements

Strong attention to detail

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Highly organized, adaptable, proactive, and solutions-oriented

Able to work EST hours
