Role summary

ITS Logistics is seeking a Dock Coordinator for their Sparks, NV operation. This role involves providing professional customer service, checking in drivers, verifying BOL information, assigning loads, communicating with the warehouse, updating the workload database, printing documents, processing inbound receipts, and assisting the CSR team. The coordinator will also perform yard checks, some inventory control, and walk the dock to assess inbound, outbound, and empty trailers. The position requires excellent knowledge of grammar, verbal communication, administrative and clerical procedures, customer service principles, and basic warehouse and business principles related to distribution and resource allocation. Physical requirements include repetitive motion such as bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, climbing, and squatting.

About the Position

ITS has an immediate opening for a Dock Coordinator at our operation in Sparks, NV. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • To provide a professional level of service
  • Check in drivers
  • Verify all information on BOL’S are correct
  • Assign loads to a door/break seal/secure load with a glade hand lock
  • Communicate with the Warehouse to direct workload
  • Update workload database for Warehouse
  • Print BOL’S and receiving documents via Softeon
  • Process daily inbound receipts and orders
  • Communicate and assist the CSR team with daily workload
  • Solving daily issues
  • Walk the dock to see what inbound, outbound, and empty trailers we have and communicate to the necessary channels
  • Multiple yard checks per day
  • Some inventory control

    • About the Requirements

    The successful Candidate will possess the following skills and abilities:

  • Excellent knowledge of grammar.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment and meeting quality standards for services
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
  • Knowledge of business principles involved in resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Repetitive motion involved daily may include, but not limited to, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, climbing, and squatting
  • Basic Warehouse knowledge

    • Rate (DOE): 24.00

    Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Candidates must reside in Nevada at the time of hire. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
