Role summary

IXL Learning is seeking a driven, customer-focused, and analytical Schools Purchasing Coordinator for its Teachers Pay Teachers (TPT) team in Raleigh, NC. This role involves supporting school buyers by processing purchase orders, managing sales tax exemptions, and providing exceptional customer service via email and phone. The coordinator will also identify trends in customer inquiries to inform product and policy improvements, collaborating with engineering and product teams. The ideal candidate has 1-2 years of customer service experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and an interest in K-12 education.

IXL Learning, a global edtech leader with personalized learning products used by millions of students worldwide, is seeking a driven, customer-focused, and analytical individual to join our Teachers Pay Teachers schools purchasing team. At IXL, we are focused on providing the best customer service possible, ensuring our customers have success using our products.

In this role, you will provide support to our Buyers, Sellers, and administrators across the TPT marketplace. You will help schools gain access to the resources they need through order processing and by providing exceptional customer service. You’ll be expected to respond to customer inquiries, recognize trends in the questions received from the TPT community, and surface these learnings internally to improve our product, policies, and services. You will also work closely with engineering and product teams on continued initiatives to develop and improve TPT’s products and services.

This is a full-time position that requires you to be in our Raleigh, NC, area office.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Learn TPT's products, services, processes, and tools to ensure a polished, positive interaction with school buyers

Fulfill purchase orders, including moving orders through the cycle, following up with schools about orders, and answering questions from our users

Ensure all individual orders are processed in a timely manner

Manage the exemptions process, including moving requests through the cycle, troubleshooting for school users, and answering sales tax questions

Provide email and phone support to teachers and school administrators

Learn to do the necessary background research to deliver high-quality customer experiences

Be able to answer all ticket types with additional support as needed

Stay up-to-date with site changes and policies

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

1-2 years of customer service or related experience

BA/BS degree required

Strong written and oral communication skills

Detail-oriented and exceptionally organized

Ability to stay calm and focused under pressure

Ability to perform repetitive tasks with a high degree of accuracy

Motivated self-starter

Interest in K-12 education!
