Role summary

A new company disrupting the residential HVAC industry to combat climate change is seeking a motivated Journeyman HVAC Team Lead. This role involves leading an install crew, removing gas furnaces, installing heat pump systems, and collaborating with engineering on product and process improvements. Responsibilities include performing maintenance, testing systems, following blueprints and codes, providing customer service, and training team members. Requires a Maryland HVACR Journeyman License and strong knowledge of HVAC systems, blueprints, and building codes. BPI certification is preferred. The position is full-time, permanent, located in Columbia, MD, with competitive pay and benefits.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an extremely motivated and passionate HVAC installer who would like to be a part of an exciting new company looking to fight climate change through disrupting the residential HVAC industry. As the lead of an install crew, we are looking for individuals with deep residential install experience to help guide a lesser experienced HVAC Technician. You will be responsible for removing gas furnaces and installing heat pump systems, and collaborating with engineering teams on how the product can be improved and the install process streamlined.

What You Will Do:

Remove existing HVAC equipment

Install new heat pump systems

Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning and replacing filters

Test heat pump systems to ensure proper functionality

Follow blueprints, schematics, and building codes when installing or repairing systems

Collaborate with other technicians and engineering teams on the product and processes

Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and answering questions

Train team members on the Jetson equipment and install procedures

What You Bring:

Proven experience as an install team member and team lead

Active Maryland HVACR Journeyman License issued by the Maryland Board of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVACR) Contractors (required).

BPI certification preferred

Strong knowledge of HVAC systems

Ability to read blueprints and schematics

Familiarity with building codes and regulations in the Denver area

Excellent problem-solving skills

Excellent English communications and customer service skills

Follows OSHA Electrical Standard

Follows the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (OSHA) Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) standard

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $38- $48 per hour
