Role summary
We are seeking a remote QA Engineer to ensure the quality of our AI-powered tools and video generators. This role involves owning quality for specific product areas through automated test writing, manual QA, AI output evaluation, and bug reporting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, curious, and persistent, with strong TypeScript/JavaScript fundamentals and experience with at least one automated testing framework. Preferred qualifications include AI/LLM evaluation experience, video generation QA background, API testing tools, light coding skills, and CI/CD experience. This is a contract role with competitive pay and potential for full-time conversion.

Role Overview
We are hiring a QA Engineer to test software products including AI-powered tools and video generators. In this role, you will own quality for specific product areas by writing automated tests, running manual QA, evaluating AI outputs, and filing actionable bug reports. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, curious, and persistent.
Key Responsibilities
- Write and maintain automated test suites using Playwright, Cypress, Jest, or Vitest.
- Run manual exploratory testing, edge case testing, and regressions.
- Evaluate AI and LLM output quality using structured rubrics.
- Reproduce bugs, file clean tickets, and verify fixes.
- Partner with developers and product to raise quality standards.
- Contribute to test strategy and release readiness reviews.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 1+ years of QA, test automation, or product support experience.
- Strong TypeScript or JavaScript fundamentals.
- Familiarity with at least one automated testing framework.
- Clear written communication for bug reports and test plans.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience evaluating AI or LLM output quality.
- Video generation or creative tool QA background.
- API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured, supertest).
- Light coding skills for test tooling and scripts.
- Experience with CI/CD or test infrastructure.
