The role involves assisting with engineering designs, conducting studies, analyzing data, and developing project documentation in accordance with client specifications and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include performing design computations, assisting with quantity take-offs for cost estimates, and preparing engineering documents for construction. Immigration sponsorship is not available, except for TN visa candidates. Compensation is $39.50-43.00/hour.

Position summary: A career-minded Water/Wastewater engineer, looking towards advancement, is needed to join JMT’s fast growing Water/Wastewater consultant engineering practice. Employee will plan assist with engineering designs in the water/wastewater field through working knowledge of applicable design criteria, regulatory requirements, standards and processes; conduct multiple design projects simultaneously; and develop, analyze and document critical design elements.

Immigration sponsorship or support (e.g. H1B, F-1 CPT/OPT/STEM OPT) is not available for this position, except for qualified candidates eligible for the TN visa classification.

Compensation for this position is $39.50-43.00/hour, commensurate with experience, education and certifications. The provided range is a good faith estimate based on the requirements described within the job description. We notice that we receive a wide variety of applicants and recognize that the person selected may be less experienced or more experienced. If so, the actual salary range may vary from the estimate provided.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Assist with alternative studies
Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography and other topographical or geologic data to complete a task
Perform design computations
Assist in designing projects in accordance with client specifications and guidelines, using design software and drawing tools
Assist with developing the project quantities for construction cost estimate
Assist in the preparation of engineering documents for advertisement and construction
