Role summary
Kaufman Dolowich, a national law firm, seeks an attorney for its New York City Litigation/Insurance Coverage practice group. This hybrid role involves litigating cases, drafting legal opinions, and direct client communication. Qualifications include admission to the New York State Bar, 7+ years of relevant experience, a JD degree, and strong legal and communication skills.
The New York City office of Kaufman Dolowich, a full-service National Law firm with more than 250 attorneys across 16 offices and over 25 practice areas, is actively seeking an attorney to join our growing Litigation/Insurance Coverage practice group.
This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced practitioners in a collaborative hybrid work environment.Our attorneys receive meaningful hands-on experience, direct client interaction, and strong mentorship.
Responsibilities
- Litigate cases as part of team, including conducting court appearances, depositions, and motion practice
- Draft legal opinions, reservations of rights and disclaimers
- Communicate directly with clients, providing proactive timely updates, legal insights, and strategic guidance throughout the case lifecycle
Qualifications
- Admission to the New York State Bar
- 7+ years of litigation and/or insurance coverage experience
- JD degree with excellent academic credentials
- Superior legal research, writing, and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills

Base Salary Range: $210,000 - $275,000
