Nurse Manager - Critical Care and Intermediate Care Unit - Full Time 8 Hours Day (Non-Union, Non-Exempt)

The Manager is an excellent clinician who assists the Chief Nursing Officer, operational management and education to employees and patients. The Nurse Manager holds 24-hour accountability for the quality of patient care, efficiency of operations, and human resources management for area (s) assigned. Provides staff education utilizing the AACN core curriculum, program planning and clinical oversight for new and current staff. The Manager coordinates care of the patients during hospitalization to obtain the best utilization of resources so that patient outcomes are optimized. The Manager serves as a professional clinical role model for patient care and assists other professionals in their development. The Manager demonstrates investment in the overall forward movement of the unit and organization and applies good verbal and non-verbal skills to achieve service goals of customer satisfaction and a positive work environment.Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s Degree Nursing Requirement waived if interim role.

Minimum Experience:
3 years Clinical Experience.
Prior Management experience.

Minimum Skills:
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Ability to determine appropriate course of action in more complex situations.
Ability to work independently, exercise creativity, be attentive to detail, and maintain a positive attitude.
Ability to manage multiple and simultaneous responsibilities and to prioritize scheduling of work.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of all medical, financial, and legal information.
Ability to complete work assignments accurately and in a timely manner.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Ability to handle difficult situations involving patients, physicians, or others in a professional manner.

Required Certifications:
Registered Nurse - RN (CA Board of Registered Nursing)
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Health Provider from American Heart Association.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Provider from American Heart Association.
NIHSS certification

Preferred Education:
Master’s degree Nursing

Pay Transparency

The salary range for this position is $151,424 - $249,850.
