Role summary

Keeley Construction is seeking an experienced Civil Superintendent for their Civil Infrastructure Group in St. Louis, MO. This role involves overseeing field crews and project operations, developing site logistics plans, and coordinating construction methods. The Superintendent will manage relationships with owners, subcontractors, and vendors, ensure a safe working environment adhering to OSHA regulations, and assist with shop drawings and submittals. Responsibilities include scheduling subcontractors, managing material deliveries, and inspecting material receipts. A minimum of 5 years of related experience in large-scale civil construction is required, along with the ability to interpret contract documents and strong leadership skills. Self-perform experience is also necessary.

Keeley Construction is looking to add an experienced Civil Superintendent to our Civil Infrastructure Group in St. Louis, MO.Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee and supervise all field crew members including foreman, carpenters, laborers etc. and project operations.
  • Develop a project site logistics plan and work with project manager to determine method and sequencing of construction. Plans, directs, coordinates and budgets activities.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with owner, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Communicate and promote safe working environment and company safety standards, with strong knowledge of OSHA regulations.
  • Assist Project Engineers in Shop Drawing and Submittal process.
  • Confers with supervisory and engineering personnel and inspectors and suppliers of tools and materials to resolve construction problems and improve construction methods.
  • Schedule subcontractors in accordance to required work schedule, pump trucks and material deliveries, Inspect and verify the receipt or shipment of materials.

    • Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of related experience with large scale civil construction project operations required.
  • Proficient with Outlook, Excel and Word is a plus.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents including drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and the project schedule.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Successful candidate must possess self-perform experience
  • OSHA 30-hour Card, preferred.
