Role summary

L.A. Hydro-Jet & Rooter Services is seeking a Repair Assistant to work alongside Technicians on plumbing and drain projects. Responsibilities include job site setup, equipment organization, assisting with drain cleaning and repairs, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. The role requires physical work, attention to detail, and strong customer service skills. This is a hands-on position with opportunities for career growth within the company.   • Experience with physical labor.
  • Manual dexterity and coordination.
  • Knowledge of basic tools.
  • Valid driver license.
  • Ability with work within safety protocol.

  • Assist with drain cleaning, drain repairs, and commercial/residential projects.
  • Help minimize water damage and support cleanup efforts.
  • Remove sewer caps, drag hoses, and clear access points as needed.
  • Maintain safe work practices and follow all company protocols.

    • WHAT SETS YOU APART:

  • Minimum of 1 year of related plumbing, drain cleaning, or construction experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Basic mechanical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift/move 35lbs regularly, 100lbs frequently, and occasionally more than 200 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in varied environments, including outdoors and confined spaces.
  • Willingness to adapt to schedule changes and assist in both Jetting and Repair departments as needed.

    • L.A. Hydro-Jet and Rooter Service determines compensation based on the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. Pay for this position is $21 - $26.00/hr. Pay is based on a number of factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
