Leonard Workforce Solutions is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a growing defense and aerospace manufacturer seeking a qualified candidate for the following position.

About the Role

The Sales Program Manager reports to the Director of Sales and Programs and is responsible for the full life cycle of assigned customer programs, from capture and proposal through contract execution and expansion. This is a customer-facing role combining program management, sales, and contracts oversight in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact with customer program, technical, procurement, and quality offices
  • Develop and maintain overall Program Plans, project schedules, Action Item Lists, and statements of work
  • Manage overall performance of assigned programs and report status to company leadership
  • Forecast annual bookings and shipments; identify and pursue expansion opportunities within existing programs
  • Conduct sales calls at customer locations and host customer site visits
  • Lead proposal development including scope definition, cost and schedule estimates, pricing, and lead time
  • Oversee preparation, submission, and follow-up of formal quotations
  • Negotiate quotes into contracts and lead the negotiating team on major proposals
  • Oversee job initiation, ensure requirements are clearly defined, and lead resolution of contractual issues
  • Identify changes requiring equitable adjustment, rework cost and schedule estimates, and renegotiate as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent manufacturing/engineering experience
  • Must be a U.S. Person authorized to access ITAR and EAR controlled technical data
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, MS Project, and ERP systems (IQMS preferred)

Pay range and compensation package
