Role summary
Mach Industries is seeking Manufacturing Engineers to develop and launch vehicle assembly processes for autonomous defense vehicles. Responsibilities include owning the processes, stations, and tooling for assigned assembly line areas, ensuring readiness from prototype to full-rate production. Key tasks involve design for assembly (DFM/A), virtual builds, process development, equipment specification, and supporting supply chain and automation teams. Engineers will troubleshoot issues on the floor, track key metrics like yield and cycle time, and implement improvements using structured problem-solving methods. Senior roles involve leading larger sections, mentoring junior engineers, and managing equipment projects. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field and experience in manufacturing or process engineering are required, with specific years of experience differentiating Engineer and Senior Engineer roles. Proficiency in 3D CAD and familiarity with problem-solving tools are essential. Experience in high-rate automotive, aerospace, or defense assembly, along with Lean Six Sigma and MES platforms, is preferred. The role requires working in an ITAR-controlled environment.

The Role
Mach Industries is seeking Manufacturing Engineers to develop and launch the Vehicle Assembly processes for our autonomous defense vehicles. You will own the processes, stations, and tooling for an assigned area of the assembly line. You'll take that area from late-stage prototype builds to full-rate production at Mach's Forge factories, with high first-pass yield at target cycle times.
You will own launch readiness for your area. Your stations, tooling, work instructions, parts, and equipment must be ready for each build. You'll work directly with Design Engineering, Supply Chain, Packaging Engineering, Material Flow, and Automation and Equipment Engineering to close gaps before they affect production. You'll also work closely with the Lead Manufacturing Engineer, Vehicle Assembly, and with Build Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, Quality, and Factory Design.
