Mackenthun's is seeking a part-time Seasonal GM/HBC Specialist to join their team. This role involves stocking, merchandising, and maintaining shelves for General Merchandise and Health & Beauty Care products. The Specialist will also provide exceptional customer service, answer inquiries, and resolve complaints. Key responsibilities include inventory management, ensuring department cleanliness, and minimizing losses. The position requires basic math skills, proficiency in Windows, Word, Excel, and Internet usage, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical demands include standing, walking, reaching, and lifting up to 30 lbs, with the ability to use a pallet jack for heavier items. Availability on weekends and flexible morning hours is necessary.

Job Summary
Join our GM/HBC Team for the season! This is part time (6-12 hours/week on average, availability specifics below). GM/HBC Specialists keep General Merchandise and Health & Beauty Care (HBC) shelves stocked with fresh products. They contribute to Mackenthun's Exceptional Experience by greeting customers, offering assistance, and answering inquiries.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management:
- Stock, merchandise, face, rotate, and restock products.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of department shelves.
- Minimize department losses through proper product handling and storage.
- Safeguard company equipment, resources, and image.
Customer Service:
- Ensure exceptional service in both General Merchandise and HBC departments.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming department environment.

Education & Experience:
- Previous customer service and retail experience preferred.

- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Working Conditions, Physical Demands
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to lift/push/pull up to 1,500 lbs. with a pallet jack.
- Exposure to hot/cold environments and cleaning chemicals.
- Ability to work in fast-paced settings with varying temperatures.
Availability
- Part time hours Saturday and Sunday (could be every week or every other)
- Flexible morning hours to accommodate business needs.
