Role summary

MAHLE is seeking an Electrical Mechatronics Design Engineer to contribute to the development of eCompressor products, focusing on the mechatronics motor and drive subsystem. Responsibilities include product design, component selection, prototype builds, testing, and validation of electric AC compressors. The role requires a BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, 3-5 years of mechatronics product development experience, and a background in the automotive industry. This is an onsite position with a salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year.

Your Contribution

Our Electrical/Mechatronics Design Engineer will contribute to the eCompressor product development activity through engineering design, development testing, and validation of electric AC compressors and is focused on the mechatronics motor and drive subsystem and components.

Work within the MAHLE Electric Compressor Product Engineering Development team to advance product designs and contribute to customer flawless launches
Design and development focus for this position is on the eCompressor motor, electronics, software, and integration into the mechanical system.
Develop and execute test plans for electronics and motor validation
Participate in innovation, product cost, and quality improvement initiatives
This position requires a hands-on individual who is expected to participate in all aspects of product development – including product design, component selection, prototype builds, prototype testing, and validation.

Your Experience & Qualifications

BS Engineering Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience of mechatronics product development.
Background and job experience in the automotive industry
