Role summary
Manitoulin Transport is seeking a Class 5, 5-Ton Operator for local deliveries in High Level and surrounding areas. Responsibilities include planning, loading, and unloading freight using equipment like a wheeler, pallet jack, and tailgate. The role involves using handheld devices for freight management and requires physical fitness. A Class 5 license and 1 year of City Pick-up and Delivery experience are required. Experience with ELDs, handheld devices, TDG, WHMIS, and forklift operation are assets. The position offers competitive wages starting at $27.14 per hour, comprehensive benefits, profit-sharing, and growth opportunities.
This driver is responsible for completing local deliveries within High Level and the surrounding area promptly by carrying, using a wheeler, a pallet jack, and a tailgate as required. They must be able to plan, load, and unload freight to a variety of customers. A normal work week is Monday to Friday, with the occasional Saturday shift. We'll need some flexibility in availability to meet customers' needs.
Start time is 7:00 am on the dock, using a handheld device to receive freight and record any shortages or damages, then load freight onto delivery trucks. Complete deliveries and pick-ups, and return to finish your day on the dock loading outbound freight.
- Class 5 license
- 1 year of City Pick-up and Delivery experience
- Electronic Logging Device and handheld device experience are assets

- Must be able to provide a criminal record check, driver's abstract, and 2 work-related references.
