You will contribute to electronic hardware development from circuit design and component selection through initial checkout, integration, and test. The role combines circuit and interface design, EEE parts evaluation, laboratory troubleshooting, and coordination with suppliers, technicians, and test organizations.

Responsibilities:

  • Design analog and digital electronics and develop schematics, interfaces, grounding and bonding approaches, and cable or harness requirements.
  • Select and evaluate EEE parts for aerospace applications, including derating, parts assurance, reliability, and applicable environmental considerations.
  • Support circuit-board design, fabrication, assembly, initial checkout, and troubleshooting.
  • Develop test fixtures, ground-support equipment, data-acquisition systems, or test automation.
  • Perform laboratory troubleshooting and support development, verification, acceptance, and environmental testing.
  • Coordinate electrical hardware activities with suppliers, technical personnel, and test facilities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, computer engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience developing aerospace, spaceflight, or other high-reliability electronic hardware.
  • Practical experience with schematic development, component selection, hardware bring-up, laboratory troubleshooting, and test.
  • Experience with EEE parts selection and evaluation for aerospace or other high-reliability electronics, including component derating and parts-assurance practices.
  • Proficiency with common electronic laboratory equipment.
  • Strong electrical engineering judgment, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with sensors, signal conditioning, electromechanical systems, motor controls, or similar integrated hardware.
  • Circuit-board layout, controlled assembly, or cable and harness design experience.
  • Familiarity with EMI/EMC or environmental qualification testing.
  • Experience developing automated test equipment or test software.
