Position Overview

Micas Networks is seeking a Director, Technical Alliances to lead strategic ecosystem engagement and joint AI networking solutions that drive customer adoption, design wins, and business growth.

This highly visible role reports to Business Development leadership and is the bridge to Sales, product Management, Customer Engineering, and strategic technology partners to accelerate the adoption of next-generation AI infrastructure.

The Director, Technical Alliances will build AI solutions around Micas' ecosystem, drive joint solution development and go-to-market initiatives, and work with partners and customers to secure strategic design wins. The role requires deep networking expertise, strong business judgment, and the ability to represent Micas as a technical leader. Customer and partner insights will also inform product and solution strategy.

This role combines deep technical expertise, alliance development, business execution, public speaking, and executive communication.

Key Responsibilities

Drive AI Ecosystem Solutions and Design Wins

Lead technical alliance initiatives and joint AI networking solutions across the Micas ecosystem.

Develop reference architectures, validated designs, and solution blueprints that combine Micas networking with complementary ecosystem technologies.

Work with Business Development, Sales, and strategic partners to identify opportunities, define joint customer solutions, and secure design wins.

Coordinate technical engagement, proof-of-concept activities, and solution validation with Engineering and Customer Engineering to move opportunities toward deployment.

Collaborate across Product Management, Engineering, Customer Engineering, and Business Development to create differentiated AI networking solutions.

Identify emerging technologies and ecosystem opportunities that strengthen Micas' portfolio and expand its addressable business.

Support joint go-to-market plans, partner enablement, and the creation of solution and product SKUs in Salesforce for promotion and sales execution.

Represent Micas as a Technical Leader

Serve as one of Micas' primary technical ambassadors to customers, partners, analysts, and industry communities.

Present at industry conferences, customer executive briefings, webinars, and technical workshops.

Deliver compelling presentations that connect technical capabilities and joint solutions to customer needs and business value.

Create thought leadership content, including white papers, technical blogs, solution briefs, and reference architectures.

Inform Product and Solution Strategy

Engage directly with customers and ecosystem partners to understand evolving AI infrastructure requirements and adoption barriers.

Translate customer and market feedback into actionable product and solution requirements.

Partner with Product Management and Engineering to address solution gaps and inform hardware, software, AI networking, and platform roadmaps.

Deliver competitive intelligence and market insights that help prioritize ecosystem solutions and strategic opportunities.

Influence Across the Organization

Provide technical and business leadership across Business Development, Sales, Engineering, Product Management, Customer Engineering, and Marketing.

Build alignment around strategic ecosystem initiatives, partner priorities, and customer design wins.

Mentor teams on AI networking technologies, solution positioning, and industry trends.

Influence organizational direction through technical expertise, partner relationships, and business insight.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in networking, AI infrastructure, cloud infrastructure, or data center technologies, with demonstrated networking expertise.

Deep understanding of Ethernet networking and modern AI infrastructure, supported by experience in networking architecture, solutions, or products.

Proven ability to turn technical partnerships and customer engagements into strategic design wins, solution adoption, or business growth.

Strong knowledge of the following technologies:

AI networking architectures and GPU cluster networking

Ethernet switching and high-speed Ethernet at 400G, 800G, and 1.6T

RoCEv2 and RDMA

SONiC

Optical networking and co-packaged optics

Strong business judgment and the ability to assess opportunities, develop joint partner plans, and communicate customer value.

Excellent presentation, public speaking, and executive communication skills.

Proven ability to simplify complex technical concepts for both technical and executive audiences.

Experience translating customer and ecosystem feedback into product or solution strategy.

Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing teams without direct organizational authority.

Technical Alliances and Customer Engagement

Experience as a Technical Alliances Director, Sales engineering, Solutions Architect, Field CTO, Distinguished Systems Engineer, or Technical Evangelist supporting cloud providers, OEMs, enterprise customers, or strategic technology partnerships, with a track record of driving joint solutions and design wins.

Technical Product and Solution Leadership

Experience as a Principal Product Manager, Product Architect, Technical Product Leader, or Technical Marketing Engineer responsible for networking, AI infrastructure, or cloud platforms, with substantial customer and partner engagement.

Experience in networking, semiconductor, AI infrastructure, cloud computing, hyperscale, or enterprise technology industries is highly desirable.
